I work in Hertfordshire and London, mainly using the person centred approach with empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard, although I do embrace aspects from a range of other approaches when required.
My main reason for doing Pet Bereavement Counselling, is that I have counselled many clients over the years who have lost pets, and I feel that unless you have experienced this type of loss, you will never understand the emotional trauma and indescribable grief, that a bereaved person who has lost their dearly beloved pet is going through. I do understand and I feel I can connect with people who are in that place because I have been there too.
